I have recently constructed a system with Vista 32 bit. I was in the process of downloading some things and got this error blue screen of death twice. Okay so my brother used my computer last and messed it up, he finally confessed that he did it. Basically the error that is showing says "irql not equal or less...." its at a blue screen and when I restart and reboot with safe mode it just loops at the windows load screen. When I restart and reboot again with safe mode it then goes to the screen and let's me pick "me" icon or "adminstrator", as soon as I click "me" it goes straight to blue screen. This error has happend to me before but I knew what I had done (try connecting to a wifi signal that was a dlink and opening up files on my blackberry so I removed thed drivers by disconnectingthe usb and it worked again/) so my problem is I don't know what my brother did. He said he put his flash drive in to upload pics on his myspace and the computer froze so he turned off. I know he's lying and that he did more. I really need help to fix this please! I can even go to the control panel! Please I have to type my final and its due monday. Specifics included in question. Help?
I recently got a blue error message. I believe it was the Blue Screen Of Death (not the "Windows has encountered an error and will be shut down" message), and these are the specifics it gives me: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (and here are the hex addresses it give me under technical information) *** STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x00000018,0x00000002,0x00000000,0x0xF813125D) *** iastor.sys - Address F813125D base at F8122000, DateStamp 422f3bcc I know a few things about computers. I have a somewhat understanding of how hex works, and those hex values look like addresses. I believe they are literally the source of the problem. I believe my computer was accidentally shut down mid-update, or there might have been a program or driver (or possibly even a virus) that could have interfered with a Windows update and caused it to shut down without finishing said update. Also, I can't start Safe Mode, I get a string of messages that read like this: multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\*insert sys driver here* It stops with the sys driver on agpCPQ.sys. In other words, Windows won't even start up. I know the operating system still exists on the computer because the logo pops up when I try to boot it normally. Plus, system restore doesn't work; it just restarts my computer. If anybody can tell me a possible way to fix this problem it would be wonderful. I do have two computers (both running XP) but I'm working on my masters degree and all my homework is on the broken computer. Its all due in just two days so I need help immediately! Remember, I have two computers both running XP, so if there is a way I can use my working computer to fix my broken one then include that in your answer please. Thank you. (Closing note, I don't have the start-up disc.)That hex address seems to have been cut off when I typed it, so here it is again: STOP: 0x000000D1 0x00000018, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, F813125DAlso, hitting "Last Good Configuration" gives me the same error message. Its as if I started up normally.Scratch that, "Lest Good Configuration" yields to me this hex address instead: STOP: 0x000000ED 0x8220C8D0, 0x00000006, 0x00000000, 0x00000000 Thats all the technical info it gives me. It doesn't state any drivers (by name) and the constant zeroes makes me believe that maybe it is looking for something that isn't there. Just a guess. Also, I guess I neglected to mention that its a laptop. moreVoting Question: what is the program on my computer called clk_jdfhid?

Earlier today it crashed and then when I turned it and before it loaded Windows a screen would come up and it said something about windows not being installed or being corrupt and to repair it or something...I dont remember. After reinstalling XP, and while I was reinstalling the drivers from the cd I get a blue screen that said "irql_not_less_or_equal 0x0000007" So...I'm now like 95% sure its got something to do with the hardware because there was barely anything on the laptop....i've been having SO many issues with this laptop lately. I have some problems with my new HP laptop. I had to reinstall Windows Vista because it was in a different language from mine. So far, so good. However, after installing Windows Vista and some of the drivers (some I couldn't install) I had a blue screen of death stating: Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_or_Equal. When playing Grand Chase often it'll come up with a blue screen with a bunch of text and one infamous line "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL". This only happens when playing Grand Chase except I think it's happened once before but I don't remember what I was doing. Thankfully this doesn't happen mid-dungeon but sometimes I can't even log in and sometimes I could play for a couple hours. The error doesn't seem to happen at any particular spot. I've tried updating some drivers but that's a headache and I'm not sure that I've got the right updates even with what I could get with free auto-updaters. I've ran a full virus scan and it didn't stop the problem. I've heard updating BIOS might fix it, but that just scares me since it might cause the computer to not start up anymore if I get it wrong. I think the numbers after "STOP:" vary with the error in case it helps or something. I have a picture of one of the earlier ones if you want I could e-mail it to you. I also think this has something to with the fact that windows hasn't been installing it's updates for a while. moreResolved Question: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL?

(Really weird)?
Two days ago my laptop got slammed with a slew of malware as a result of my niece using it while virus signatures were not up to date. When I first got to it, it was all I could do to uninstall the old antivirus and install new software. This is the first time this has ever happened to me. A virus, trojan, worm, and rootkit were all detected by Prevx2 scans and Avira Antivir. I let Prevx clean what it could, and though it reported all threats had been removed that was obviously not the case. I rebooted, then ran Spybot S&D, which detected and removed a colossal amount of garbage. Rebooted again, then ran Antivir and allowed it to remove yet more. Finally I ran a HiJackThis scan, and removed what I knew were threats and hijacks. I ran all of the above steps once again while disconnected from the internet, but not in safe mode. Both smitfraud and virtumonde hit me. I removed smitfraud, but to no avail. HiJackThis isn't showing anything suspicious anymore either. Finally it seemed everything had been taken care of. Until I left for 5 minutes and returned to see the blue screen, baring the message bad_pool_header. I restarted, and sure enough, the next time I left the machine alone for about 5 minutes the BSOD came back with a different message: no_more_irp_stack_locations. It's different every time. Other error messages include bogus_driver and irql_not_less_or equal etc. etc. I don't have the rest of the error info. It's a different error message every time. My ram is but a month old. Should I try reseating the cards? What about running a repair with the XP disc? As the error message is different every time, I'm really at a loss as to what may have caused this. I've not installed anything new recently. The only significant changes took place as a result of that serious infection. Dell Inspiron 510M. Windows XP Pro. Pentium M. 1.280 gig of ram. 40GB hd. Okay my computer is an HP Pavillion dv9000 laptop about a year old. I have been getting the blue screen of death 3 or 4 times a week. Sometimes it says IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and other times it says Win32.sys. I recently had my computer reformatted because of a driver error, the blue screen was doing this before the reformatting and after words. Within the past 3 months I upgraded the ram and before I did that occasionally I would get the blue screen of death but definitely more frequently now. Anyone have any idea whats going on aside from HP laptops sucking a big one? moreVoting Question: my pc restarts when starting movie or starting a game
it worked fine for 6 months. about 5 days ago i wanted to play a movie. when i started it, my pc restarted, showing THE blue-screen. and this restart became more and more frequent. i checked the temperature: 52 C for the processor, 65-70C for the graphic card (asus nvidia 8500 gt, passive cooling). so far so good. i checked the ram memories. both of them are ok. deleted the video-card driver and reinstalled it from CD (windows did not find any drivers on the net). checked with kaspersky: it found a couple of Trojans, deleted them. and my pc keeps restarting whenever i want to watch a movie or play a game. any ideas? (the blue screen states this: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Beginning dump of physical memory. Stop: 0x000000A (0x00000016, 0x0000001c,0x000000,0x80502392) ) moreVoting Question: Need some help fixing my pc

Ok so I recently got a new computer with windows Vista and in the 2 days I've got that error about 10 times....I have no clue what to do any help? moreResolved Question: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Bluescreen?
I've just installed a new motherboard and cpu, and I'm getting this BSOD every time I try to boot. It initially booted fine, the OS worked properly and it began to install the BIOS functions and the CPU cores. However, now it refuses to boot the operating system. It only gets to the BIOS screen. I'm fairly familiar with the workings of hardware, so I'm sure it isn't a hardware-related issue. After all, everything worked perfectly to begin with! I'm also not convinced that it's a problem with the BIOS, since I can use it fine. In fact, I can tell that my CPU and motherboard temperatures are fine, so it must be a software/driver problem. Any ideas? I'll add extra details if necessary. So I assume that would involve booting from an install disk? Would I be able to repartition one of my drives, so that I don't have to format it?OS: Vista home premium 32x 4GB DDRAM2, not sure on type. Dell OEM =/ CPU: Intel quad core Q9300 Motherboard: EVGA nForce 750i My HDD is SATA, 500GB, and it has two partitions.Edit: Uh, Vista just booted. I'm almost certain the OS needs to be reinstalled since I was reminded of it... This seems worrying, instead of comforting. moreResolved Question: what does this technical error mean when i go to play a game on my pc?

I've researched my error code but I can't find much on it in association to the driver that's also listed on my BSoD. I get this following Stop Error when I try and connect my computer to my wireless network: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL *** STOP 0x000000D1 *** LSIPNDS.sys The first starred item is the main error and second is the driver associated. After this, on the bottom of the screen, it reads, "Beginning dump of physical memory. Physical memory dump complete." I checked Microsoft's support site for downloads/hotfixes on 0xD1 but I mostly found downloads that were for other reasons of seeing this stop error and none of them included LSIPNDS.sys. I'm pretty sure that LSIPNDS.sys is a file associated with Linksys, as my adapter on the computer is Linksys brand. I'm almost positive that the adapter hardware was installed correctly (Confirmed with Device Manager). Does anyone have any tips or possible hotfix download links for this? Any help appreciated.
