Resolved Question: what are the benefits of drinking water?

First of all I am 24 small frame 5'6 3/4" and 123ibs. They say that you should drink the same amount of water equal to your weight. Is that true? How is that helping? What are the benefits of drinking at least 32 oz of water once in the morning(throughout two hours) once in the afternoon and once in the evening? Will I notice any difference? What will it help? How many weeks will I notice the difference? Also I know you're supposed to drink 8 cups of water a day and don't tell me about water poisoning crap I can't drink that much in three minutes and I won't. For example I get a jug of 32 oz water and I drink it throughout the morning and finish before noon( 7-11) same with the afternoon. How much water should I drink based on my weight. I have no desire to lose weight. more
