My remote controller has been programmed to my T.V. It turns off the Television fine, changes the channels and does commands, but has problems with the volume control. By pressing lightly and quickly on the pad I can change the volume, but it is hard to do it just right. Is there a problem with any of these remotes? Hi, My brother has an xbox 360 wireless headset and 2 controllers (also obviously an xbox 360 elite) Now my brother is having trouble with the headset. Everytime he turns it on the xbox practically picks it up as a remote and connects itself as controller 2 and it seems the only way for him to talk is to turn off controller 1. I have a average laptop and a high spec pc, however i want to play games on the main LCD tv downstaires without having to lug my main computer up and down. Open Question: How do i program my directv remote to work on my TV?

i searched this on google for a little bit and couldnt find an answer. most of the guides said this "Press and hold in the MUTE and SELECT keys at the same time until the green light under the TV icon flashes twice and then release both keys." but there is no light under or near the TV icon on my directv controller, the only light is on the top, but it doesnt blink after holding select and mute. the only code i found was SMLD-00040-000 Does anyone know to how to program this controller?Stephen M - wrong controller, that is the same exact page i got the quote above from. Ok...I have a one to many games on my computer to try to play with just my oll' average keyboard. So let me explain--every time I plug in the Xbox 360 controller I'll hear the usb sound but its doubled I cant sound it out but..something like, "Bu-ding" that's the right sound, and the wrong sound sounds like, "Bu-bu-bu-bu" Wierd... So the funny thing is its not even detecting the controller at all...so I tried to go to hardware wizard..or something of the source and find it there but no luck...so can someone please help me. more

Open Question: Im setting up LED's for neon lights on my car,if i steal the(-) on the neon will i blow out the LED indacators?

I currently have a 4 way wireless CONTROLLER for my led/neon lights in my car. It is hooked up to a relay that powers the (+) side. The wireless switch only control the ground ( -) part of all of the lights, and the relay is what power the positive (+) side on all of the lights including the wireless switch. Im having trouble noticing what is on and what is off, and i sure don't want to drive with them on. So im hooking up some (4) led indicators on my car, so when i turn on the neon or led light with the wireless control, a indicator on the dash (drilled in and is wired and set) will turn on to indicate that the light is turn on. i have the marked 1,2,3,4.The indicators on the dash will be powered(+) with its own adapter that's use for remote controlled cars, noissuess here on the + side. The issues is on the (-) side, i am going to use the ground(-) from LED\neon lights that are set under the car and around, so when i turn on the lights the indicator on my dash will light up stating that, that light is on. Since im stealing the ground that was send to the LED\neon lights, will i have any problems(like too much power) and blow out the LED indicators ?? more

Resolved Question: Is my house haunted? I'm Freaked Out!?

Well, I'm a little freaked... I always thought my house was a little creepy but a few months ago I was searching about the history of my town and there was an old stage coach stop where my house was in the 1800s and a hotel in the early 1900s. It said there were Indian arrowheads and bullets in the walls and that kids would dare each other to go at night because there were evil spirits. Then it got torn down and a horse farm was built. That burnt down, then they built houses (which is exactly where my house is). I sometimes get a really weird chill that goes down my back and I kinda shake (its freaky!) Even my friends notice it, sometimes we both get it at the same time when we are doing something like watching tv. Also, I ALWAYS feel like someone is watching me. I have three dogs so I'm not too scared of stalkers or anything but I think its just ghosts. Once my friend and I were playing with a giant remote control hummer that like 3 feet long and 2 feet tall. We put down the remote to get a soda and while we were walking down the hallway the hummer came out of my room and hit the back of my legs hard! We ran back to my room and the controller was just laying their... I turned it off but the hummer was still hitting into the walls! We took out its battery and it stopped.... I think I have a "ghost" that just wants to get my attention. It is kinda freaky though and I think it just happens in my part of our house. Oh by the way I live in a one bedroom house that was build in the 1950s and I live in one "wing" of the house and my parents live in the other "wing". I have two bedrooms because my brother moved out but it mostly occurs in the room I hang out in. I haven't seen anything but I have heard weird noises and doors in my house slam insanely hard for no reason (my parents say its wind, but its way too hard). Open Question: hp laptop remote issue??

i have a hp pavilion dv4-1275mx notebook pc. os windows vista home premium 64 bit. it comes with a remote controller. everything used to work perfectly until this afternoon. i booted up the laptop and neither the mouse nor the keyboard was working. then somehow i got to the device manager and updated the drivers for the keyboard and then the keyboard and the mouse started to work fine. but then the remote started to have issues. only the media center button, the quickplay button and the dvd button works. except for those, none of the others are working. even when i open up the media center, they don't work. it seems like there is something wrong with the ir receiver. but i can't find anything related to ir receiver in the device manager. i think updating the ir receiver would solve this issue. but that's just me.... and just to let you know, when i go to hp customer care website, and enter my serial number, it says that they have stumbled upon something and they can't connect me to an hp customer assistant..... so any kind of suggestion would be helpful............already contacted with hp several times, they have sent me a new remote control, but the same problem, and now they are telling me to restore my system.. don't know how helpful that would be..............finally it is solved. turned out that the BIOS was causing the problem. soon as i updated the BIOS, the remote started working again............. thank u hp more

Recently I've been having issues with my Wii controllers, specifically while playing Trauma Center: New Blood. In stages where I have to use the defibrillator [use by pushing the controller towards the screen], the game doesn't do anything. I can move the cursor just fine, but it doesn't seem to know that I pushed the controller. My son has one, but the controllers eat up batteries like crazy. I bought the "blue light" charger over ebay. It worked for a little bit, then stopped, so I sent it back thinking it was defective. They sent me a new one, but the same thing is happening. The batteries charge, but for some reason the battery packs provided won't allow the controllers to sync up with the Wii, making them unusable. Voting Question: How to get an IP from a computer on ActiveDirectoy?

Our school network has an active directory service (so you can log in with you user name on any computer in that domain). I can Remote Desktop into a server that is running ISS7 and ftp, but is NOT on Active Directory. I have a name of a server that hosts Active Directory, and i can connect to it from any computer that is in Active Directory, but not from the ISS server. My question is, how can i get the IP of the server / connect to it, that has Active Directory and DNS installed (Windows Server 2008) from a computer that is not connected to Active Directory (but on the same local network)? My objective is to connect to the Active Directory server (Domain controller) from a server that's on the same LOCAL network but isn't using the Active Directory service. P.S. I have the domain name of the computer running AD (DC1.school.com - for instance). more

Hello, I wish to install a trojan virus on my laptop its semi harmless and harmful i will have the controller on my desktop my problem before i do this is will my laptops ip address still work so i can connect to it IF it goes missing and totally trash it so its becomes useless if further advances in technology then perhaps i could even track the location of my laptop and arrest the perpetrators for theft this is of course theoretical in some manor but still if i could pull such a trick off computer theft will be lower (may not be high right now but still) if you know the name of a tracking program that would be most helpful more

Voting Question: should I buy THIS Macbook?

Its used off of ebay. Also the seller doesn't live to far away from me! Up for sale is my trusty Macbook that I've been using the past couple of years. Voting Question: Xbox 360 controller wont sync!?

My wireless xbox 360 controller wont sync to my xbox 360. I've already tried syncing it with the sync buttons on the xbox and controller but no luck. The plug and play doesnt even work either. The weird thing is the xbox 360 Remote works but the controllers dont. Any suggestions?
